Terms of Use
Subscriptions
Membership of Parents in Touch is maintained by payment of a subscription which allows access to all available website pages and downloadable worksheets. It also allows parents to receive individual advice on education related matters from emailed questions.
All subscriptions are for the use of the subscribing individual and their household using their registered email address and password. Sharing of accounts is not permitted. This user authority is for non-professional users for home use. The subscriber undertakes to prevent their email address and password being used by other individuals and will take reasonable steps to ensure the email address and password is kept safe, for example by always logging out when using a shared computer. We operate a 'Reasonable Use' policy and reserve the right to monitor downloads to ensure fair usage both for our protection and to protect our users. Misuse of our system will result in termination of membership.
Subscriptions are for a period of one year or longer as stated at the time of payment and generally are non-refundable (see Refund Policy below.)
We reserve the right to change the price of the subscription, or offers, at any time. All transactions are performed in GB pounds (£). The price includes VAT where applicable.Please note that we do not issue receipts or VAT invoices - confirmation of payment is from WorldPay/PayPal.
Normally, access is provided immediately following completion of the on-line payment process. However, it is possible that in some circumstances, for technical or other reasons, a delay may be experienced.
A personal subscription is designed for parents at home and does not permit use within schools or other organisations or by private tutors but see below for our subscription for teachers which is separately available. We reserve the right to suspend any subscription where unauthorised use occurs ie if parent subscribers use or appear to use the resources professionally.
Teacher Subscription
The Teacher Subscription allows you, as an education professional, to view or download up to 250 worksheets per year through the Worksheet Finder and use the resources in school and at home with your own children, if required. This permission does not extend to our eBooks, which are marketed separately. Viewing a document counts towards your download limit, as once viewed it can be saved or printed by you. We recommend that you save any viewed documents to your own computer, to save them counting against your view/download limit at a later date. The term 'teacher' covers everyone using the site in a professional teaching capacity ie TAs, childminders, tutors etc - it is not intended for home educators. Anyone registering as a teacher will only be able to hold a teacher subscription, unless a change is agreed by us. If you subscribe using a school email address your subscription will be deemed to be that of a teacher unless you contact us to request otherwise.
The offer of individual advice is not included in subscriptions for teachers and other professionals.
eBooks are for home use by the purchasing individual only. If you wish to use eBooks in schools or for other professional use, please contact us.
The Teacher Subscription allows photocopying of the resources for use in school but the copyright notices must remain intact at all times. Most documents are pdf and they must be retained and used in this format.
If you need more worksheets you can buy an upgrade which will allow more worksheets to be viewed/downloaded for school use. The upgrade is available by clicking on 'View my account' after logging in. The upgrade link is near the bottom of the page and is visible only if you are a Teacher Subscriber. Your allowance will be reset to 250 on renewal. Contact us for more information. Teachers (and those opting to change their registration to teacher during their subscription period) with a current three year subscription will have a download limit of 500 automatically applied.
Worksheets
We use the term 'worksheet' as a generic term to cover all the downloadable resources available on Parents in Touch. This includes links to recommended online resources, software and books.
If your access level (eg Teacher Subscription or registered user) has a download limit: opening a worksheet (or other resource) is counted as a download, whether you choose to save the worksheet or not, this is because the worksheet needs to be downloaded to view it. If you view or download the same worksheet a number of times in the same log-in session, this will count as just one download against your download limit. The free worksheets available on the site and through our newsletters are subject to a maximum download limit of 10 free worksheets.We advise you to save the downloads to your computer if you wish to view them again at a later date..
All the downloadable resources on www.parentsintouch.co.uk are accessible through the Worksheet Finder. We are constantly upgrading and improving the site and content may be removed at any time. We cannot guarantee that every resource will always remain available.
Recurring Payments - Annual Subscriptions
By agreeing to pay by credit/debit card or by PayPal account for the annual subscription you are agreeing to allow WorldPay or PayPal to take subsequent annual subscription payments automatically without further notification.
Cancellation of Subscription - WorldPay
Cancellation of your annual subscription payments with WorldPay can be done on your 'View my account' page on Parents in Touch: We do not cancel subscriptions on your behalf. If you request us to do so, an administration charge will be levied.
Login to the WorldPay Recurring Payments (FuturePay) Shopper Management System www.worldpay.com .to check your FuturePay agreement details, cancel the agreement or make changes to your card, contact or username/password details.
WorldPay username/password details will have been provided to you when you took out the subscription. See your WorldPay FuturePay Confirmation email sent at the time - we do not have access to this information and requests for reminders should be addressed to WorldPay. Your subscription ID can be found on the 'View my account' page, along with the date of renewal.
When your annual subscription is cancelled your membership of Parents in Touch will continue up to the subscription anniversary date.
Cancellation of Subscription - PayPal
Use your PayPal account to cancel your subscription. Parents in Touch is unable to cancel your PayPal subscription as the subscription is an agreement between you and PayPal.
When your PayPal annual subscription is cancelled your membership of Parents in Touch will continue up to the subscription anniversary date.
Special Offers
The 3 year membership offer is made on condition that a one-off payment is made for the first 2 years, the 3rd year being provided free of charge. The three year payment is not a recurring payment - it is a one-off payment. You will receive a reminder from us at the end of the three years, inviting you to re-subscribe.
Discount codes, which we offer periodically, must be used at time of purchase. The discount cannot be applied retrospectively.
EU regulation states that customers have the right to cancel a purchase within 7 days with the exception of services that start before this cooling off period. Membership of Parents in Touch is a service which provides immediate access to all on-line content so you are not entitled to a refund after the service has started. Hence, before paying, please ensure you are satisfied with the type of content offered by membership. To help you decide we offer free sample worksheets, some of which you may wish to download before subscribing. Refunds will not be made when recurring subscriptions are paid in accordance with the agreement you set up with PayPal/WorldPay.
The administrative cost of refunding, which would be passed to you, is higher than the cost of the subscription.We do not refund unused years of membership where you have taken up a special offer to pay for multiple years.
Notwithstanding, refunds may be considered at the discretion of Parents in Touch where a customer was unable to receive the service for technical or other reasons.
Newsletter
By registering your email address with Parents in Touch you agree to receive regular Newsletters providing updates on new content. You must be over 18 to register your details with us.
You may opt out of this service at any time by clicking on the Unsubscribe link in the Newsletter or by making your choice in the 'View my account' page after logging in to the site. Please allow 14 days for your request to be actioned.
Communication by Email
Our prime means of communication is by email. We do not spam. We hate email spam as much as you do.
