The education and information site for parents

Bringing up children

Every parent has their own ideas on how they react and interact with their children. This is what makes a happy family and gives the children encouragement and confidence.

Some children are easier to deal with than others and there are times when even the calmest of parents will despair and look for new ideas and routines.

Children do like routines and the opportunity to enjoy themselves emotionally, creatively, physically and academically. They learn from each other but there are times that they learn the wrong things! It is difficult for young children to learn to differentiate right from wrong, especially if they are all together! Remembr children who are playing are learning so providing them with the opportunity to enjoy playing and toys is essential.

Parenting is a full time job and it is very tiring. When you are tired you have less patience and children need to be taught to appreciate this…it does not make you a ‘bad’ parent! I think that every parent would admit that looking after children all day is the hardest job in the world…..and no-one is given any training to be able to do this.

The following pages, hopefully, give mothers and fathers some ideas and new suggestions so that your children are given every opportunity.

  • Raising children
  • A successful child
You will have your own ideas and want to share these with other parents. Please join our forum and take the time to help other worried or anxious parents who may feel that they are the only ones struggling!
Mum and Dad

Each one of us has had different experiences when rearing our children and hopefully we have learnt from these. Share your knowledge and experiences with others so that they too will feel reassured, relieved and less anxious.

If you have a child who is worrying you this site gives you the opportunity to ask for help in a private and confidential way by contacting the professionals.
